EPISODE 342 – 2 Real-Life Stories For Why You Need Extra Ammo
6 of 8
THIS WEEK'S TRANSCRIPT
need to carry extra ammunition unless you live in a high-crime area frequented by
gangs that you could face, of you're LITERALLY in a war zone!
For me, in light of all that's happened in just the last year, I beg to differ... I think we
absolutely ARE in a "war zone"!
In July of 2020, a young mother, Charmaine Turner and her 8 y.o. daughter, Secoriea,
and a family friend who was driving had just turned off an Atlanta interstate. They had
just finished eating and had pulled into a parking lot when they were suddenly stopped
by an armed mob of protesters who had created a human barricade near the burned
out Wendy's location of the fatal shooting of Rayshard Brooks by an Atlanta police
officer.
While the driver tried to get the mob to back off, at some point, someone in the group
opened fire on the vehicle, striking it multiple times and injuring the 8 y.o. girl in the
back seat.
The driver tried to escape the area, but faced with the mob, his only escape route was
to go THROUGH the human barricade - where he struck one of the protesters who
was armed with a rifle. That person managed to get back on his feet and opened fire
on the car.
“Once that person opened fire, apparently people thought someone in the car was
shooting back, which is when 2 or 3 OTHER protesters started shooting at the car.
Now, let me give you ANOTHER situation to consider...
In June of 2018, two San Francisco police officers were on patrol and stopped four
men on a street corner for an open container violation. One officer approached the
group while the other parked their vehicle, when one of the 4 guys started running.
The officer on foot chased after him, and during his pursuit, said that he thought he
saw the man take off his jacket and pull out a gun from his waistband. The officer
opened fire, striking the man in the back and the guy fell to the ground bleeding.
Now there's a bodycam video of the entire incident and I'll link to it in the show notes
on our site, but what I want to draw your attention to is what happened AFTER the
shooting because that's when things get scary.
